Best Lift Kit for a GMC Envoy GMT360 (2002–2009)
Short answer: the BDS Suspension 168H 2-inch kit at $477.85 is the only kit in this comparison with a firm, catalog-verified price and included rear shocks — and it is the community's top pick for real off-road use. The ReadyLift 69-3065 at $329.95 is the next firm price in the guide, and the Traxda 402010 at $200.25 is the cheapest priced kit here. Every other price in this comparison is flagged unverified in the guide itself, so treat those as leads to confirm, not prices to budget against. The kits below are all spacer lifts except where noted, and the guide's own limit applies to all of them: about 2 inches of front spacer is the safe everyday ceiling.
Prices below are as listed in the guide's Lift Kits tab (Oct 21, 2026), from the retailers named on each card. Several are flagged unverified in the guide itself, and they are not live prices: check the retailer link for the current price and availability before ordering. Every kit, part number, lift height, and fitment note on this page comes from the Cerch Garage Envoy GMT360 guide's Lift Kits tab and its Tires and Wheels tab. Nothing here is guessed.

The kits in detail
1. BDS Suspension 168H 2" Lift Kit - $477.85
- Part number: 168H (box kit 011201 + hardware; front-only version sold as #121201).
- Lift height: 2" front / 2" rear.
- What's included: one-piece upper strut mounts, one-piece rear upper coil mounts, box kit + hardware; 2x NX2 rear shocks (85619) included, with FOX 2.0 rear shocks optional.
- Struts/shocks: front struts reused with new mounts; rear shocks replaced with NX2 units.
- Price as listed in the guide: $477.85.
- Fitment: bolt-on; strut compressor required; fits EXT/XL; will NOT fit rear air-ride trucks; alignment after install. The community's top pick for real off-road use, though GMT360 group owners debate BDS's claim that ball-joint angles are unaffected.
- Store: RealTruck (BDS catalog-verified).
2. MarkMC member-made spacer lift - price varies
- Lift height: 2.5" or 3" front + matching rear.
- What's included: machined front strut spacers + rear coil spacers.
- Struts/shocks: stock struts/shocks; often paired with Bilsteins and Z71 rear springs.
- Price as listed in the guide: varies (unverified — sold member-to-member; historically the most affordable option).
- Fitment: a true lift, not a leveling kit. Sold by forum member MarkMC as a service to the TrailVoy community; his kits were under the platform's pure-height record holder. He later offered a body lift too. Availability is intermittent — one member fabricating.
3. SuspensionMAXX (SMAXX) MAXXStak spacer system - ~$79.50–$169.95
- Part numbers: rear spacers SMX-15100 / 15150 / 15200 (1" / 1.5" / 2").
- Lift height: front 1", 1.5" or 2" (choose thickness); rear 1", 1.5" or 2".
- What's included: steel front strut spacers + rear coil spacers + hardware; reuses OE rubber front mounts.
- Struts/shocks: stock struts/shocks retained.
- Price as listed in the guide: ~$79.50–$169.95 per Summit's MAXXStak range (unverified for this exact application).
- Fitment: the first spacer lift ever made for this platform. You measure your truck and order the exact spacer thickness front and rear; rear install about 1 hour per the instructions. SuspensionMAXX's upgraded sway-bar end links are a popular add-on for lifted trucks.
4. Rough Country 2" Lift / Leveling Kit - price varies
- Lift height: 2" front / 0.75" rear.
- What's included: front strut spacers, rear coil spacers, hardware.
- Struts/shocks: reuses OEM struts/shocks (per retailer listing).
- Price as listed in the guide: varies (unverified — no longer listed on Rough Country's own site; sold via third-party marketplaces).
- Fitment: does not fit air-ride models. A GMT360 group owner runs this kit with 1.5" wheel spacers and reports it rides great, but he needed new CV shafts and sway-bar end links after the lift.
5. ReadyLift 69-3065 SST Lift Kit - $329.95
- Part number: 69-3065.
- Lift height: 2".
- What's included: front strut spacers + rear coil spacers; the design eliminates the factory rubber front strut mount that ages and tears off-road.
- Struts/shocks: stock struts/shocks.
- Price as listed in the guide: $329.95 (from the OffroadTB vendor roundup; current availability unverified).
- Fitment: bolt-on, no cutting; alignment recommended after install.
6. Traxda 402010 Lift Kit - $200.25
- Part number: 402010.
- Lift height: 2.5" front / 2.5" rear.
- What's included: steel front strut spacers + rear spacers.
- Struts/shocks: stock struts/shocks.
- Price as listed in the guide: $200.25 (unverified — from vendor roundup). Traxda also sells a front-only 2.5" leveling kit, #402011, at $129 (same source).
7. Supreme Suspensions PRO Lift Kit (GMEN02FK3020) - $204.95 (2.5" version)
- Part number: GMEN02FK3020.
- Lift height: 3" front / 2" rear.
- What's included: 6x Delrin front spring (in-strut) spacers, high-strength steel rear spacers, hardware.
- Struts/shocks: stock struts/shocks; in-strut preload spacers firm up the front ride.
- Price as listed in the guide: $204.95 for the 2.5"F/2"R version at SD Wheel (shown out of stock); the 3"/2" price is unverified.
- Fitment: will NOT fit Air Ride / MagnaRide / auto-leveling trucks. Three inches of front puck is the ceiling of what stock CVs and ball joints tolerate — a GMT360 group owner on 3"F/2"R pucks reported a "funky" front end and asked what supporting mods he was missing.
8. maXpeedingrods Leveling Lift Kit - price varies
- Lift height: 3.5" front / 2.5" rear advertised — but their own manual caps 4WD trucks at 2" front.
- What's included: carbon-steel front strut spacers + rear coil spacers + mounting hardware.
- Struts/shocks: stock struts/shocks.
- Price as listed in the guide: varies (unverified — budget Amazon/eBay brand, typically under $100).
- Fitment: cheapest route in. Read the manual's 4WD caveat before believing the box; at advertised heights expect accelerated CV and ball-joint wear.
9. Zone Offroad C9212 2" Body Lift - price varies
- Part number: C9212.
- Lift height: 2" (body lift — no suspension change).
- What's included: 12x 2"x3" lift blocks, steering extension, front + rear bumper brackets, radiator brackets, spare-tire winch bracket, bolt packs.
- Struts/shocks: N/A — stock suspension untouched.
- Price as listed in the guide: varies (unverified — older kit, discontinued at many retailers).
- Fitment: stacks with a 2–3" suspension lift for 4–5" total with zero added CV/ball-joint stress. An Offroad Trailblazers member runs 2" body + 3" suspension + 1.5" wheel spacers on 255/85R16 (33x10) tires.
Community recipes (not kits)
Front spacer lift + GMT800 Z71 rear coil swap: 2000–06 Tahoe Z71 rear coil springs swapped in place of stock GMT360 rear coils, usually with longer rear shocks (Bilstein 5100 in the Tahoe application is commonly paired), for about 1–1.5 inches of extra rear height (unverified). Forum members pair this with MarkMC or Rough Country front lifts for rear height and load capacity without a rear spacer; the stiffer spring rate firms the ride. Cost is the springs plus shocks (unverified).
Bilsteins + about 2.25" lift, air ride retained: an owner's combination of Bilstein shocks/struts, lift spacers, and skid plates with the factory rear air suspension left intact. It shows how air-ride Envoys get lifted — a front-focused lift with the air rear kept — instead of a full kit that would delete the air suspension. Cost varies by the parts chosen (unverified).
Which one for you
If you want the one verified, complete kit: the BDS 168H at $477.85 is the only kit here with a firm catalog-verified price and included rear shocks, and the community's top pick for real off-road use. It will not fit rear air-ride trucks, and you need a strut compressor for the install.
If cost comes first: the cheapest priced kits are the Traxda 402010 at $200.25 and the Supreme Suspensions 2.5"F/2"R version at $204.95 — but both prices are flagged unverified in the guide, and the Supreme 2.5" version was shown out of stock at SD Wheel. The SuspensionMAXX range (~$79.50– $169.95) is the lowest-priced range in the guide, also unverified for this exact application. Confirm price and stock before budgeting any of these.
If you want the tallest lift: the Supreme Suspensions 3"F/2"R and the maXpeedingrods 3.5"F/2.5"R are the tallest advertised — and the guide's own guidance says 3 inches is the practical max before CV boots, ball joints, and sway-bar end links become wear items. The maXpeedingrods manual itself caps 4WD trucks at 2 inches front, so do not plan on its advertised height on a 4WD truck.
If you want height without suspension stress: the Zone 2-inch body lift stacks with a 2–3-inch suspension lift for 4–5 inches total with zero added CV or ball-joint stress, and 33s are proven with 3-inch suspension plus 2-inch body lift.
If your Envoy has rear air suspension: most kits will not fit. The Denali and XUV air-ride trucks need the front-only approach, a coil conversion, or the community's Bilstein build that keeps the air rear — check fitment against your truck before ordering anything.
Fitment, geometry, and tire math
- About 2" of front spacer is the safe everyday ceiling; 3" is the practical max before CV boots, ball joints, and sway-bar end links become wear items (multiple group reports). Alignment is mandatory after any lift.
- Upper control arm flip: for lifts over about 2", unbolt the upper control arms and swap them left-right during the install (free — labor only). It corrects the upper ball-joint angle so the joint does not bind or wear early. Aftermarket UCAs are the alternative at higher lifts. The same build thread found front struts start topping out past about 2" and used stiffer GM front springs (1512588x series) for a heavy bumper.
- Tire math from owners: a 2" lift clears about 31–32" tires; a proper 3" lift with the right offset/spacers fits 35x10.5R17 (mocked up at full travel in the GMT360 group); 33s are proven with 3" suspension + 2" body lift.
- Stock tires are P245/65R17 (SLE / SLT / XL) and P245/60R18 (Denali). A common upgrade is 265/65R17 (about 31") on stock wheels, fitting with minor trimming on most trucks — the upper ball joint clearance is the pinch point, so check before ordering wider.
- Bolt pattern is 6x127 mm (6x5") — GMT360-only among GM trucks. Full-size GM 6x139.7 wheels do NOT fit.
What this page does not cover: ride-quality comparisons between kits, install times, and difficulty ratings. The guide's Lift Kits tab does not state those, so they are left out rather than guessed. If a kit's listing contradicts anything here, the listing and your truck's actual configuration win — especially on the maXpeedingrods 4WD height cap and the air-ride fitment exclusions.
